Mark B. Decof Appointed to Rhode Island Board of Bar Examiners

Decof, Barry, Mega & Quinn, a pre-eminent personal injury law firm in the New England area, is proud to announce that Mark B. Decof, Esq., the firm’s principal shareholder and senior trial lawyer, has been appointed to the Rhode Island Board of Bar Examiners. Selected by the Supreme Court to test the legal knowledge of bar applicants, the Board of Bar Examiners administers and proctors the Rhode Island Bar Examination and prepares and scores the essay portion of the bar exam. Mr. Decof will serve a five-year term in this role.

Mr. Decof, along with his father and former partner Leonard Decof, founded Decof, Barry, Mega & Quinn in 1980. For more than 30 years, Mr. Decof has been actively engaged in litigation and trial practice, and has won more multi-million dollar jury verdicts than any other trial lawyer in the state of Rhode Island.

Mr. Decof is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Rhode Island Association for Justice, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the American College of Trial Lawyers.

He has been voted among the “Top Lawyers” in Rhode Island by Rhode Island Monthly in 2003, 2008, and 2011; was named “Lawyer of the Year in Rhode Island” by Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly in 2004; and has been listed on the Rhode Island Monthly Super Lawyers List for every year since 2007. Only five percent of lawyers in Rhode Island are recognized on the Super Lawyers List.
