Jeffrey A. Mega joined Decof, Barry, Mega & Quinn, P.C. as a seasoned litigator in 2014. With a focus on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical negligence, and product liability cases, Jeff handles all aspects of his clients' cases. As an accomplished trial lawyer, he has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has achieved settlements ranging from several hundred thousand to tens of millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. Most recently, Jeff obtained a $46.4 million dollar judgment on verdict in October 2021, following a five week jury trial. This judgment is believed to be the second largest personal injury judgment in the history of Rhode Island.

Jeff was drawn to the practice of law, particularly trial work involving serious injuries or death, for a variety of reasons. He recognizes that clients seek answers and closure when they come to attorneys, wanting to fully understand what happened to themselves or their loved ones and whether it was preventable. As a trial lawyer, Jeff enjoys learning about diverse topics, ranging from health conditions to medicines and surgical procedures to treatments. Additionally, when working on product defect cases, he gains valuable insights into the engineering and design of products. He finds the competitive nature of trial work to be particularly exhilarating.

While Jeff's family currently resides in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, he grew up in Glocester, Rhode Island, and graduated from Ponaganset High School, which became famous for Salty Brine's "no school Foster-Glocester" saying. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys physical fitness and outdoor activities, such as running marathons, playing golf, or taking a leisurely stroll. Furthermore, something not well-known about Jeff is that he is a classically trained musician who attended the New England Conservatory of Music for a brief period of time.
