We Win Nearly $1M Auto Accident Verdict despite Challenging Odds
A Providence Superior Court jury awarded a 23-year-old mother and her daughter
a combined $975,000 in compensation for injuries sustained to the mother
in a rear-end auto collision in Warwick, Rhode Island in 2006. Personal
injury law firm Decof, Barry, Mega & Quinn, of Providence, was faced
with two significant challenges in the case — the injuries sustained
by the victim were not diagnosed until nearly a year after the auto accident,
and she had been involved in a separate car accident as a teenager, prompting
the defense to point to pre-existing conditions. Decof, Barry, Mega &
Quinn Co-Managing Attorney
Patrick Barry
utilized his analytical skills and sound judgment to expertly assess the
case, take it to trial and win, seeking justice for his client.
Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly interviewed Mr. Barry
about the case in a recent feature article.
