Michael P. Quinn, Jr. Wins Record Verdict in Medical Malpractice Case in Rhode Island

After an eight-day trial in Providence County Superior Court, the jury awarded our client $40 million, amounting to $61 million with interest, for errors made by multiple physicians and physicians-in-training while he was being treated at a local hospital. The plaintiff had his right leg amputated, after he developed severe blood clots as a result of the doctors’ failure to place him on a blood thinner. This is the largest verdict ever in any personal injury or medical malpractice case in the state of Rhode Island.
