Holiday Travel: What You Need to Know about Personal Injury Claims

Planes, trains, and automobiles. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts. North, south, east and west. During the holidays, Americans travel by many different methods in various directions. Unfortunately, problems – big and small – can follow.  From pedestrian collisions at the airport to falls at the train station to car crashes on interstate highways, anything can happen. Fortunately, there are legal steps one can take to properly submit personal injury claims while dealing with holiday travel.

If a catastrophe occurs while away from home, the legal challenges can be multiple.  If you suffer an injury at an airport, the injured person must consider whether the negligent person was a federal employee. If a person is injured in a car crash in a state other than their home state by a driver who is a resident of that foreign state, the injured person will probably need to assert his or her claim in the court of the state where the crash happened. This can become complicated if the injury is severe and the negligent driver lives across the country.
