Legendary Lawyer Leonard Decof Passes Away

Leonard Decof, the founder of Decof & Decof, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 86. In 1975 he founded Rhode Island's only law firm devoted exclusively to plaintiff's causes, and through his outstanding advocacy established major precedents through many of his trial and appellate court cases. He was a remarkable person recognized locally and nationally for his professionalism, exceptional skill, and accomplishments throughout his extraordinary career as one of this country's preeminent trial lawyers. Leonard made many significant and lasting contributions to the development of the law. He will be deeply missed by his family, his colleagues, and his many friends.
