Michael has been involved in every aspect of countless medical malpractice, general liability, and product liability cases - from complaint to jury verdict. At Decof & Decof, he focuses his practice on representing parents, children, and families who have suffered catastrophic physical injuries and unthinkable economic losses through no fault of their own.
A life-long Rhode Islander, Michael was born and raised right outside of Apponaug in Warwick. After high school, he was nominated by the late Senator John Chafee for placement at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Just months before basic training started, however, a history of childhood asthma forced him to rethink his future. With essentially no time, he accepted a spot at the University of Rhode Island. Four years later, while working during the week as a clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office in Providence and doubling as a busboy and waiter on the weekends, he graduated in the top of his class, summa cum laude. In 2006, after graduating at the top of his Villanova law school class, he turned down a job in New York City and moved back to Rhode Island. In 2010, with four years of practice at one of the top defense firms in the state under his belt, Michael joined the team at Decof & Decof.
He is licensed to practice in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. A tireless advocate who is often working in his office as the sun rises, he was selected a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers Magazine in 2009, 2010, and 2011 (one of the youngest recipients each year). Recently, he was invited to author a chapter in the Rhode Island continuing legal education series, "A Practical Guide to Discovery in Rhode Island."
His wife, Lauren, grew up a mile from his childhood home outside of Apponaug. They are parents to two young boys and make their home in Warwick.
